美国联邦海事委员会(FMC)周四宣布了其新成立的国家托运人咨询委员会的成员名单。
该委员会由24名成员组成，平均分为从美国出口货物和从美国进口货物的人员，他们将就国际海运运输系统的竞争力、可靠性、完整性和公平性等政策向委员会提供建议。
“当前的货运挑战表明，我的同事Rebecca Dye建议国会在FMC建立托运人咨询委员会是多么有先见之明。?I和其他委员需要迅速了解每天都在处理海运现实问题的进口商和出口商的观点。我们也需要他们来帮助指导我们的努力，以及FMC之外的人来改进这个系统，使它对美国的托运人更容易、更公平、更高效。我由衷地感谢所有自愿为我所知道的这个无价的委员会服务的人，”FMC主席Daniel B. Maffei说。
委员会成员任期至2024年12月31日。
