马士基航运2017年第一季度亏损6600万美元

　　Maersk Line lost USD 66 million in Q1
　　With a USD 66 million loss in the first quarter,Maersk Line got a weaker start to 2017 than it did last year.
　　This is evident from the Maersk Group first quarter interim report,published Thursday.
　　Analysts ShippingWatch spoke to before the results were published all expected a profit from the liner carrier in the range of USD 3 million to USD 150 million.
　　As such,this marks the eighth consecutive quarter with sliding earnings at Maersk Line,the world's largest container carrier.
　　Maersk Line attributes the unsatisfactory development largely to the carrier's significant exposure to the North-South trade and the consequences of Hanjin Shipping's collapse in the fourth quarter,which reduced the number of ships at sea in the period.
　　The Maersk Group does,however,maintain its expectations for the liner carrier,which aims to deliver a USD 1 billion improvement for the full year compared to the deficit of USD 376 million for 2016.The group still projects a 2-4 percent growth in demand for container transport.
　　Maersk Line's combined cargo volumes increased 10 percent in the quarter,mainly due to higher demand and,says the carrier,a larger market share.
　　Revenue of USD 5.5 billion for Maersk Line was a 10 percent improvement from the same period last year.
　　Skou:Not satisfied
　　Maersk Line is part of the newly established unit Transport&Logistics,and the results for this part of the business did not meet expectations,says Group CEO Søren Skou.
　　"Whilst we cannot be satisfied with the overall profitability in the first quarter,the result is as expected and we reiterate our guidance for the year for the group,"notes Skou in the report.
　　He adds that the group is starting to note synergy effects,for instance Maersk Line having increased its volumes to APM Terminals,and"improved collaboration between Maersk Line and Maersk Container Industry leading to significantly higher volumes and improved results,as well as cost synergies on Sales,General&Administration,"he notes.
　　Group delivers USD 201 million profit
　　The Maersk Group overall achieved a profit of USD 201 million,which was somewhat on par with the same period last year.The result reflects an improvement at Maersk Oil triggered by a higher oil price and lower operating costs.
　　But the result falls significantly below analyst expectations,according to estimates gathered by Ritzau Estimates ahead of publication.
　　The analysts queried projected a pre-tax profit of USD 604 million.
